Ohio Boarding Schools

Parents choose boarding schools for a variety of reasons.  The schools we have listed below all focus on college prep and boast amazing rates of college acceptance.    Below we have a few reviews and statistics of some of the boarding schools in Ohio.

·         Andrews Osborne Academy –This non-denominational, co-ed school is located in Willoughby, Ohio and currently serves grades 7-12.  The school boasts that 100% of its graduates are accepted to four year colleges.  The average SAT score of students is 1650.  The school focuses on college prep.  Average classroom size is 10 students with one teacher per five students.  Half of the students are on scholarship or financial aid.  For more information call               1-800-753-4683       .

·         Grand River Academy – An all boy school serving grades 9-12 is located in Austinburg, Ohio.  This school specializes in helping boys that are not currently successful at their school.  With an average classroom size of seven it is easy to see that students get a lot of one on one attention.  The school has a fully scheduled day for students.  This schedule includes some free time and time for a great athletics program.  For more information call               1-440-275-2811       .

·         Olney Friends School – This small school is located in Barnseville, Ohio.  This school is co-ed for students in grades 9-12.  This school does support Quaker values and only has 70 students.  These students do come from diverse backgrounds.  Students have the option to board at the school or to be day students.  Prices are relatively reasonable which makes this school a good choice for families wanting their children to focus on college prep.  For more information please call               1-800-303-4291       .

·         Western Reserve Academy – This co-ed school of 390 students is located in Hudson, Ohio.  The diverse students at this school come from 24 U.S. states and 23 countries.  More than half of these students board at the school.  Along with college prep academics the school offers great arts and athletic programs.  Boarding for one student per year can be over $35,000 but financial aid is available.  Fore more information please call 1-800-784-3776.
